90's grunge...

I walked into general pants a couple of days ago and felt like i had stepped into a time warp. It was 90's as far as the eye can see. It defiantly takes me back into my childhood... where watching 90210 was a must, listening to rage was my Saturday morning ritual and wearing overalls was cool. Am i happy about this trend... absolutely! Just be careful not to cross the line of 90's grunge and dero- it can be a fine line at times.

Ps.. I am away on holidays at the moment so have not been using my computer. My posts may not be as regular over these next 2 weeks. xxx

Winter blues...

The old, trusty denim jacket has been around for years. As fashion trends have continually chopped and changed and been in a constant state of transition- the denim jacket has remained a wardrobe staple. A denim jacket can be worn casually and dressy. I love wearing my vintage Levi denim jacket with my leather pants and with my Bassike stripped harem pants. Ksubi and Sass and Bide have some cool denim jackets. If you don't want to spend big bucks then look in Op-shops for a vintage Levi one.

If you have not already... get to the shops and buy a beanie. Best winter accessory!

Swinging sixties...

I remember as a young teenager, discovering my parents Woodstock record.. My sister and I played it in the old record player at home and danced around our lounge room. Little did I know... that moment would help shape my life as it has become today. The music inspired me to speak to Mum and Dad about their experiences of that era, I began watching movies inspired by the 60's, I began researching the fashion of the 60's, I became curious about the 60's surf scene and surfboards and I began falling in love with style icons such as Edie Sedgwick. Still to this very day most of my favourite music is from the 60's and all my surfboards I ride are 60's inspired and no matter if 60's fashion is in 'trend' it can always be worn... so get your cat eyed sunnies out, pull on your Edie tights and dance like no-ones watching...
